The Interfaith Alliance of Colorado promotes justice, religious liberty, and interfaith understanding through building relationships in order to educate, advocate, and catalyze social change.

The Interfaith Alliance of Colorado was founded in 1998 by a group of faith leaders from multiple backgrounds who were frustrated that their diverse faith voices were not being represented in the public sphere — specifically in politics or media. This group was determined that faith should be a force for good in public life, so they began to bring people together to engage in advocacy at the state capitol, to build stronger relationships, and celebrate multiple faith traditions.

Through the years, we have been a steady presence bringing people together across faith traditions in good times and bad — celebrating victories and mourning defeats.

At all times we seek to be a force for good in our state by standing up for rights and equality of all people. That’s why we were and continue to be the faith voice standing up for LGBTQ equality and women’s reproductive rights and justice. It’s why we fight so hard for criminal justice reform at the state capitol and work to devise creative solutions to complex problems.

About your new role
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Director, as well as managing overall day-to-day operations necessary for the well-functioning of the organization. This position requires a highly organized and detailed individual who is also a self-starter. The Administrative Assistant will be the first point of contact for the organization and will have the following duties:

•Provide administrative support to the ED (calendar, travel, correspondence, filing, etc.)
•Process bill payments, invoices, grant and donation deposits, reimbursements, and reconcile accounts weekly
•Coordinate HR functions (processing payroll, benefits administration, coordinating staff trainings and onboarding, tracking employment contracts, updating org manuals, etc.)
•In coordination with CPA, and General Counsel, support compliance and legal tasks (990 filings grant requirements, MOUs, insurance, audits, and other compliance/legal tasks)
•Draft correspondence (letters, meeting minutes, reports, presentation slides, etc.)
•Plan meetings and coordinate events (virtual and in-person; registration, event materials, logistics, IT, catering, and other details)
•Manage CRM (data entry, running reports, data hygiene, etc.)
•Maintain up-to-date contact lists (grants and funders, partner organizations, community contacts, staff and board)
•Maintain organization calendar
•General clerical duties to include, but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, scanning, mailing, filing, answering phone and email inquiries, directing and screening calls as appropriate, ordering office supplies, and managing communication with vendors and suppliers.

Knowledge and skills we are looking for:

•Self-starter required. Experience working with minimal supervision and perform effectively under tight time deadlines.
•Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
•Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines.
•Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Powerpoint, in particular).
•Outstanding organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
•Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to undertake, balance, and manage multiple tasks and assignments.
•Excellent customer service skills and the ability to create a customer-focused culture.
•Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, and outside contacts.
•BA/BS preferred. Minimum three years in an administrative support role.


Salary and benefits: Full-time salary ($40K-$55K/yearly) commensurate with experience. Health benefits, vacation, retirement, and travel reimbursement. Part-time also considered.
