Interfaith Establishes New Neighbors Donation Center to Help Migrants in Denver

“The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.”
-Leviticus 19:34

The Interfaith of Colorado is proud to have responded to past calls from the City of Denver to assist with the migrant crisis, establishing a donation center in our office at First Baptist Church that helped the city distribute resources to migrant families in need over the winter. We will continue working closely with the city to respond to this crisis.

Our donation center will reopen next week to accept donated items from the public to support our newly arrived neighbors. The items requested will help us assemble personal care packages to be distributed by the city at temporary migrant shelters.

Interfaith’s New Neighbors Donation Center Hours & Information:

Thursdays, 10am – 2pm

Beginning May 25th, 2023

1373 N Grant Street, Denver CO 80203

(First Baptist Church of Denver)

The items requested for donation will be available right here, but the list may be updated periodically as needs change. Stay tuned for updates!

Only the items listed will be accepted for donation, as they reflect the changing needs of the migrants arriving.

We ask that the public only donate the items specified, as we will be unable to accept non-requested items:

  • Personal hygiene product kits (toothbrush, toothpaste, sanitary products, etc). Please have these items ready to grab in a sealed plastic bag.
  • Soap
  • Deodorant
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Menstrual hygiene products (preferably in bulk)
  • Diapers (sizes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6)
  • Baby wipes (preferably in bulk)
  • Men’s and women’s small size underwear (new and unopened only)

In addition to donations, Interfaith is asking for volunteers from the community to step up and help us organize donations that come in. If you can lend us a few hours of your time, fill out this form and someone will be in touch with you!
