2023 was a landmark legislative session for both Colorado and Interfaith! While there is still plenty of work to do, we were nonetheless able to advocate for numerous policies that have now become the law of the land, improving the lives of millions of Coloradans for generations to come.
After one of the most productive sessions in our organization’s history, we’ve compiled a comprehensive report detailing the results of our public policy team’s work in conjunction with volunteers and advocates like you! A few highlights:
-Interfaith tracked 75 bills this session
-83% of the bills we tracked were passed by the legislature
-35 of the 36 bills we supported that passed the legislature were eventually signed into law by Governor Polis!
-100% of the bills Interfaith opposed – which would have limited reproductive freedom and LGBTQ+ rights, among others – were defeated!
