Interfaith Alliance of Colorado Statement on Attack in Boulder

We are devastated by the news of the violent attack in Boulder targeting a peaceful gathering. This was not just an attack on those participating in the gathering, but also on our entire community. While tensions are high, now is not the time to abandon our neighbors and friends. We must make connections with each other and across faith traditions for our own sense of humanity.

I urge everyone to refuse to allow this horrific incident to further fracture our community. As people of faith and conscience, we can choose to lead with love and reject the division and hatred that is all around us, in social media, our workplaces, and our streets.

Our hearts go out to all those impacted by this horrific attack, as well as to our Jewish brothers and sisters across Colorado.
