Job Description:  Program Coordinator (Part-time)

Four positions available:

Denver, Ft. Collins/ Greeley, Colorado Springs, and Grand Junction

Part-time, 10 – 20 hours week

Summary:

The Program Coordinators are responsible for the coordination, implementation, and maintenance of IAC programming, community outreach, and advocacy activities. They will be detail-oriented, fast-learners who are thorough in their approach and willing to go the extra mile to complete tasks. They should be team players who can work independently, anticipate issues before they arise, share solutions-oriented ideas, and who exude integrity and trustworthiness so they can become trusted members of our team.

About Your New Role

Reporting to the Director of Education & Outreach, the Program Coordinators will be responsible for community organizing, outreach, and event coordination activities in their respective regions. The coordinators will also assist with periodic legislative advocacy tasks.

These positions require highly organized, professional, and detailed individuals who are also self-starters, accountable, and comfortable working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities.

The Coordinators will work closely with the Director of Education & Outreach to conduct outreach activities in the community, including research, delivering presentations, as well as coordinating and staffing events. (Must have a reliable vehicle and insurance.)

Community Outreach – 

  • Develop local strategy for execution of programming
  • Connect with stakeholders and local organizations
  • Research contacts, local partners, and events
  • Draft and deliver outreach presentations
  • Coordinate logistics and promotion for local events
  • Maintain local events calendar
  • Report event data and metrics
  • Staff community events
  • Prepare community analysis reports
  • Collaborate with staff on grant reports

Legislative Advocacy – 

  • Attending legislative, coalition, and community meetings
  • Drafting communication and reports, taking meeting notes
  • Scheduling
  • Reviewing and assessing proposed legislation
  • Communicating with elected officials

Knowledge and skills we are looking for:

  • Professional maturity, demeanor, and appearance A MUST
  • Self-starter required; experience working with minimal supervision and performing effectively under tight time deadlines.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in a business or non-profit setting, or a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years experience
  • Adept with Mac operating systems and Google Suite
  • Excellent communication skills and highly organized
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment while working remotely

Compensation: $25 – $28 per hour, sick time, hybrid work model, laptop computer provided for performance of duties.

Job Description:  Administration & Planning Manager

(Part-time, 20 hours weekly, Possible transition to 30/ weekly)

About Your New Role

Reporting to the CEO, the Administration & Planning Manager will serve as the primary administrative support staffer for the organization, responsible for both day-to-day operations management, as well as providing administrative coordination for Interfaith’s programming, communications, and outreach. This position requires a highly organized and detailed individual who is also a self-starter, accountable, and comfortable making management decisions. 

The Manager will work closely with the Director of Education & Outreach to ensure seamless delivery of IAC’s programing and outreach, as well as manage operations. 

The Manager will have the following duties:

Oversee day-to-day management of the office and operations (including IT, mailings, vendors, etc.)

Provide administrative support to the CEO, manage calendars, travel, correspondence, filing, etc.

Plan meetings and coordinate events (virtual and in-person; registration, event materials, logistics, AV, catering, and other details)

Support strategy and execution of programming, coordinating with staff on all aspects of program delivery.

Manage Membership Program

Work with Bookkeeper to manage AP/AR, grant contracts, reports, and deposits; reimbursements, and reconcile accounts

Coordinate HR functions (processing payroll payments for contractors, benefits administration, coordinating staff trainings and onboarding, tracking employment contracts, updating org manuals, etc.)

In coordination with CPA, and General Counsel, support compliance and legal tasks (990 filings, grant requirements, MOUs, insurance, audits, and other compliance/ legal tasks)

Collaborate with staff to manage grant prospecting, submission, and reporting for all grants

Draft correspondence (letters, meeting minutes, reports, presentation slides, etc.)

Maintain up-to-date contact lists (grants and funders, partner organizations, community contacts, staff, and board)

Maintain organization calendar

General clerical duties include, but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, scanning, mailing, filing, answering phone and email inquiries, directing and screening calls as appropriate, ordering office supplies, and managing communication with vendors and suppliers.

Self-starter required; experience working with minimal supervision and performing effectively under tight time deadlines

Knowledge of office management systems and procedures

Working knowledge of office equipment (printers, computers, etc.)

Proficiency in G Suite and MS Office

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to undertake, balance, and manage multiple tasks and assignments

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to create a customer focused culture

Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, and outside contacts.

BA/BS preferred. Minimum three years in an administrative support role.

Compensation

$23 – $30 per hour, sick time, hybrid work model, some holidays, laptop computer provided.
